I regret having left the new album incomplete, but I have been busy packing for Glastonbury. I will be out of touch for the next two weeks, so please hold your emails until then. John Winston has been kind enough to host a mirror of brokenbricks on his own server, which I will be setting up over the summer. He also hosts my radio shows. John has just launched his new website, a sort of White Stripes web browser and a place to upload and listen to White Stripes covers. You can find it at whitestripes.ws. See you at the festival!

The Nurse, from Get Behind Me Satan, is complete. A harmonica tab (for the guitar) was requested for Hello Operator, and I ended up reworking the tab.

I am going to be in the brokenbricks chatroom this Thursday at 4:30 PM Pacific Standard Time. Feel free to come by and share your music or just listen in. The primary email SPAM control company on the internet is having trouble with its blacklist (its list of blocked emails identified as "SPAM"). As a result, I am not able to reply to email to some AOL or Hotmail accounts (and possibly others). If you have sent me email that has not been replied to, please resend it from another account.
Lafayette Blues, More Email Trouble - September 2, 2003
I have been caught up lately in the recording of a makeshift album with friends of mine. I'm sorry to have kept you all waiting, however, I return bearing gifts: Lafayette Blues is up, for better or for worse, and I am planning to resume our weekly meetings starting next week. I understand a few of you may have "peeked at your Christmas present," as Mr. White might say, but that is to be expected. On another note, due to a universal internet dispute regarding spam email, some of my emails responses have been bouncing back. Please do not be offended if my replies are taking longer than usual.

Server Trouble, Email Worries - July 17, 2003
Difficulties surrounding the server upgrades prevented this website's appearance for the past few days. All is well now, and I will be getting on with the tabs (I am still checking the page for quirks, so let me know if you have any trouble). It is possible that, for a short period of time, the server was not receiving email. If you have written to me within the past week and have not received a reply, please send your letter again. I apologize for the website's recent downtime due to server upgrades. The following tabs are in progress and should be completed within the next few weeks: 1. "Ball And Biscuit" is very close to completion, along with the three remaining Elephant tabs. I created a Yahoo group called broken bricks for use as a meeting place to discuss the playing of White Stripes songs (though not an open forum). The chat room has some interesting software that allows members to speak quite clearly to each other using microphones, so perhaps I will set up a weekly tutorial including some live performances by various members. Anyone is free to join.

COWPIE's purpose in life is to allow guitar players who enjoy country music (and its many substyles) to contact one another and swap songs, techniques, and information without wading through all the mixture of musical styles covered in the usenet groups.
We're not a country fandom site that handles general country music trivia questions, and we're not a country lyrics site. This is not because I'm not interested in country trivia, or because I don't like people who don't play guitar. The reason is that I must keep a focus to the site so that the time to maintain it is manageable.

The amount of email I've been getting about problems with spyware has been increasing. I've been trying to say this for a while, but now there are more authoratative sources of information on how insecure the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser is. If you are new to computers and don't know what that is, it is most likely what you are using. The Department of Homeland Security suggests that we all switch away from IE. A week or so ago, a noted PC enthusiast wrote up this essay Why You Should Dump Internet Explorer. Your entire web surfing experience will be more pleasant if you will move to a different web browser. My personal recommendation is the free Firefox browser. I've been using it for a couple of years now and I really like it.

Tumultuous lyrics delivered in a contradictory, bubbly, upbeat fashion has become a 3 KISSES trademark; the band enchants and engages their audience with their passionate abandon. From the driving rock-funk of "Yellow" to the 70's psychedelic tone of "Come Along" and from the new age dance love song "Wings" to the melodic yearning of "Complete" 3 KISSES encompasses the spectrum. This band is out to show you a good time and leave you feeling truly entertained!
Long Bio: In 1998 the husband-wife team Tish & Tony Meeks, began writing original music and performing occasional acoustic gigs in the Greater Sacramento area. After four years of writing songs and developing their sound, Tish & Tony relocated to the Austin, TX, area and decided to put together a band.
Tish & Tony began developing alternative-pop band, 3 Kisses, in November 2003 and the band played their first show in January 2004. They have rapidly progressed to playing big events such as the Motive Bison Stampede Half Marathon to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Austin where the band performed for over 19,000 race participants and the Susan G. Komen Central Texas Race for the Cure in Waco where they performed for approximately 10,000 race participants. 3 KISSES supports breast cancer research by donating a portion of their CD sales to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and American Cancer Society. Tish lost her mother to breast cancer in 1989 and in addition to supporting the cause with the music of 3 Kisses; she has recently become a published author in Jack Canfield & Mark Victor Hansen's Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul. In her story, Legacy, she talks about how this loss has affected her life and choices.
3 Kisses has gone through the usual growing pains of a new band. Tish & Tony had the pleasure of working with drummers Bryan Breaux, Scott Rogers and Jennie Rutherford on drums. Jennie spent a year with 3 Kisses and was a tremendous asset to the band, but left to resume her position in the Austin Civic Chorus when 3 Kisses began touring. Ed Hale was the band's first bass player, but that relationship unfortunately ended in November 2004 due to scheduling conflicts. While 3 Kisses auditioned bass players, Jonny Latte of the Southern Fried rock band, Playin' Syx, and Lou Granda of Austin rock band Dinkum picked up the slack on bass. The 3 Kisses line-up was completed with the addition of Amanda Nunan on bass and Melissa Nunan on drums. These two experienced rockers have that perfect combination of chemistry and talent that complete the 3 Kisses recipe for success.
The primary goal of 3 Kisses every time they take the stage is to have fun! Tish's interaction with rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Tony, bass player Amanda, and drummer Melissa combined with Tish's commanding stage presence and vivacious personality invite the audience to be a part of the 3 Kisses experience. Tony is quite the attention-grabber as he simultaneously plays guitar, plays keyboards through Roland PK5A midi pedals with his feet, and sings backing vocals. Tish's unbridled energy will draw a crowd from the back of the room to the front of the stage in seconds flat. Amanda and Melissa also bring their own unique dynamic to the band - you never know what surprises a 3 Kisses show will have in store!

Tish Meeks: Tish aspired to be a guitarist at a young age, but was heavily influenced by her mother and grandmother to take up piano lessons instead. It wasn抰 until much later that she followed her dream of learning to play the guitar and through that process discovered her songwriting abilities. Tish toured for two years behind the scenes in the music industry. When she was ready to step into the spotlight, herself, she moved to California and began her search for like-minded musicians to play with. After a few months of playing with various musicians in the Sacramento area, Tish was led to redirect her focus from guitar to vocals when she met Tony Meeks. Tish found that writing lyrics came as naturally to her as breathing and she began collaborating with Tony immediately. The two developed a style that was uniquely their own, drawing from each other抯 diverse musical tastes. After four years of intense songwriting and sound development and playing the occasional open mic in Northern California, Tish and Tony moved to Texas in late 2002. Just a little under a year later, they began putting together the project that would become 3 KISSES.
Tony Meeks: Tony comes from a long line of musicians with roots deep in Texas. His cousin is the drummer and bandleader for a nationally known country act and his grandmother played upright bass in a bluegrass band until the age of 94. Tony began playing guitar at the age of 8 and began playing in bands at the age of 12. By the time he was in high school, he was earning more money than his high school teachers playing gigs all over Northern California with his band, 揊ire Mountain.?He continued on to college on a music scholarship and played in the band 揊riends.?揊riends?traveled the US by private plane to recruit for the college. Tony made a pilgrimage to Memphis, TN and played on Beale St. with Memphis legend, Uncle Ben Perry. Back in Sacramento, Tony easily found a home with 揂bsolution Blues Band.?Ultimately, however, he turned to writing original music with Tish Trimmer, the couple eventually married, made a move from California to Texas and 3 KISSES was born.
Amanda Nunan: In addition to being classically trained on the bass, Amanda Nunan, is a graphic designer and writer. She will graduate from Texas State University in December with a writing degree. Growing up, Amanda would sneak off with her walkman so she could listen to classic rock, old country music and other banned music of her house. She has worked for several years promoting womyn in music, and indie musicians, and is ecstatic to be a member of Go Girls Music, Texas Independent Musicians, Austin Indie Alliance and so many more organizations that are out there fighting over-commercialized America. Previously a member of Cuntry Punks, Amanda is so excited to be a part of the 3 Kisses family.
Influences: Joan Jett, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble, and Ani DiFranco.
Melissa Nunan: Ever since childhood Melissa Nunan's dad was very supportive of her playing music. He bought her her first drum kit and provided a practice space for her band. He was her number one fan and his legacy still inspires Melissa to do her best and "Just go for it!" Some of the bands Melissa has played with in Houston were: Peppermint Trotsky, Bell Weather, P.M.S. & The A.M. Project. In Austin she played with: Ari (aka Avenue A) and Cuntry Punks. Now Melissa is a part of the 3 Kisses family and she think this is a perfect fit for her, and the rest of the band. She can't wait to show you, and the world, how much we rock!!
